AMG
is pleased to announce that we have recently been awarded
the order from communication systems contractors Optilan
for the Channel Tunnel
Rail Link Section 2 CCTV Transmission system. The requirements
called for were real-time digital video to be transmitted
over a distance of more than 90 kilometres with a high degree
of built in resilience so that in the event of a catastrophic
fibre failure, no camera feeds would be lost on the main
network. Using AMG’s market leading Guardian Lite™
solution in a dual redundancy configuration with self-healing
capability allows for compliance with all these important
surveillance system requirements.
